At GF Energy, we are committed to work with truly renewable and sustainable products.
We closely monitor compliance with the accepted sustainability criteria developed by international and national authorities.

We focus on residue or waste material, i.e. material that prior to our undertaking did not serve a meaningful purpose. These residues are therefore not suitable for food (human consumption) nor feed (animal consumption).

We only source products from sustainably managed forests and/or plantations.

We monitor the energy required to produce our products and to bring them from supplier to customer.
We guarantee a positive energy and carbon balance, in other words:

• Our products always contain more energy than the energy used in production and transportation.
• Our products avoid more carbon emissions than carbon emitted by the energy used for production and transportation.

Biomass is considered a CO2-neutral fuel as the trees or plants suck up the same amount of CO2 as they emit when burnt.
